    The Way of the Master

Thank you FELIX, your video with The Way of the Master awesome!! the looking glass gets clearer with Ray Comfort's way of evangelising! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOxSAnnoI3E   I remember when people or family would evangelize to me a long time ago  they would start, How sinful I was......That term would raise my hackles to be judged by someone who knew nothing about me. Ray Comfort brings the image of sin thru the 10 commandments and I can feel myself by just watching ....being led step by step to Jesus and why he came to save us. When you find a Pastor who teaches and counsels it is a terrific way to encompass a person who is lost.....My Pastor, Greg Laurie, Ray Comfort, Dr Vernon McGee, Robert Furrow, Scott Richards just to name a few.....there are so MANY that have removed the murk from murky in my understanding of God Jesus and The Bible......they have pointed back to God and Jesus and I am ........I don't struggle so much....that is a very good thing!

    the longer I walk.......

The longer I walk with Jesus the quicker I turn to him………http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq-EddBdJBI      Eddie and

I were going to the store and Jaylee was with us piped up totally out of the blue.. she asked her Dad “are you saved”…..time stood still, a most awkward moment…….He rolls his eyes at me and says “ some people believe differently, and that’s ok” Jaylee was satisfied with the answer……however I debated saying something that would start an angry exchange….finally I said “no uhhh…..only thru Jesus are we saved by believing and following” …..it got pretty quiet in the car…..but at least Jaylee knows it is Jesus who saves and not how each individual sees it….Jaylee had her first ever sleep over Sunday night….she went to church with Zudy and family …trouble started, a child misbehaved……Zoë and Jaylee cried all the way home….after that everything was good and Jaylee didn’t want to come home the next day. I am glad she isn’t afraid of going out in the world. I do however feel sad that she is missing out so much….day after day ….at home, TV Computer radio…no life for kids to live….Jaylee loves going places and doing things……..so does Jaron……school starts soon……another year passes…..Jaylee is out again, this time with the Pastors wife all day today and Jaron is getting more involved with Church and making friends……he will be painting a mural in the teen room…..and life keeps moving……..

    lamentations

Listening this morning on the radio “ thru the bible radio, with Vernon McGee” what a wonderful old soul…..so easy to understand the Bible when he is explaining such a gentlemen!! I have been reading Jeremiah and now into Lamentations…….I think many Mom’s are like Jeremiah the weeping prophet….we see our family going the wrong way and we weep and lament too God…...reading thru both books I have a sense of the holocaust in 1941 and the devastation of the Jews….such sorrow……and what is so awful again and again history repeats itself….when will we learn God’s ways are perfect to keep us from harm. I have been walking with Jesus sometimes angry sometimes grateful and thankful….sometimes disappointed……thru all my human emotions God is with me, still wants me, still loves me……the longer I walk with Jesus the more I love him…..the things you learn reading the Bible……are worth more, mean more to me than anything in this world. Jaylee is learning more and more….just maybe she will be ready for 1st grade. An old friend from my past has decided to try going to the church I go too….my heart breaks for her going thru life she seems so alone and confused….and now a cousin having both breasts removed…..this road has bombs exploding left and right fast and furious……..my rock…my foundation is Jesus Christ ….

    old friendships

I have been wrestling with how and why family members who have gone astray…….when I was 17-44 my younger brother and I were always on the outside[ church] looking in when pretty much the whole family were saved. ….Now we are on the inside looking out watching the backsides of family moving away from God. The world has poked its ugly head into our family’s world and carried away many precious family members. Some have exchanged the truth for a lie…..and some have found their delight in the world………some have let the cares of this world become more important…….and some are angry at God….Matthew

I have heard from some old and dear friends in the past week…it grieves me to see them sick or living with addictions wandering thru life poisoning everything they touch. This has been the week of meeting my past, it shows me how wrong I was living. God always brings me back to his way of thinking, he’s showing me without him

    …….I could wander….……..

I have been doing a lot of introspection of myself afraid to write the words down……

went to EXL Wednesday at church “demons and angels“ it is so great to hear the truth instead of mystical stories. I have a hunger for the bread of life, I want to know the truth, I want immoveable roots……..

    A Father's Legacy
    by Greg Laurie

The greatest legacy we pass on as fathers is not our inheritance. It is not even our good name. It is the spiritual heritage that we give to our children, desiring them to walk in the way of the Lord.

When David was on his deathbed, he said to his son,

"As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever" (1 Chronicles 28:9 NKJV).

God has placed parents as the authorities in the life of the child. And in many ways, we as fathers represent God to our children.

A story I've often told about a little boy illustrates this well. The little boy was frightened one night by a very loud thunderstorm. He called to his father in the next room and said, "Daddy, I am scared."

His father called back from the next room, "Son, don't be scared. God is with you."

The boy paused for a moment and then said; "Yeah, but I want someone with skin on right now."

Fathers, in many ways, are like God with skin on to their children. I don't mean that literally, but I do mean that fathers are the representatives of God to that child.

Consider this: many of the attitudes a child will develop about God will be based on their relationship with their fathers. While I am not trying to lay a guilt trip on fathers, I do want to say that we fathers need to do everything we can to be a godly influence on our children. When our children see their mom or dad contradicting what they know is true, great damage can be done. Sadly, many children do not honor their parents simply because they are not very honorable. Many adults have never grown up themselves, so they abandon their responsibilities to their families to chase after their own interests.

That is why Andrew Murray said, "The secret of home rule is self-rule: first being ourselves what we want our children to be."

Our children must see the gospel lived as well as preached. We are not only to be witnesses to the world. We also need to be witnesses in our homes. Children pay attention to what really matters to us and how our Christianity affects us in day-to-day living.

You are an example. The question is, will you be a good one or a bad one?

We find an interesting insight in an often-quoted passage regarding parenting-one that is usually quoted when children go astray. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it" (NKJV).

This phrase, "in the way," could also be translated, "in his bent." The Amplified Bible translates it this way: "Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it."

We see in this a recognition that every child is different. I hope, as parents, that we realize this about our children. Every child has a unique and distinct personality. Just as no two snowflakes are exactly like, it is the same with children.

This is why we need to observe our children. We need to watch our children. Then we need to adapt our training accordingly.

This doesn't mean we turn away from the principles of Scripture, but that we adapt them to each child. For example, stern words get some children in line, while others need a different approach.

My point is that we need to recognize the unique characteristics in the lives of the little ones whom God has entrusted to our care. We want to do our best to point them in the right direction and train them in the way of the Lord.

How often we think, "I'm too busy for the kids!" Yet time goes by so fast. Treasure each moment with your children, and don't neglect them. Express your love to them.

To know that our children walk with the Lord-that is our great hope. But we need to remember that they don't belong to us; they belong to God. Our responsibility is to point them to Him

    ………………………………............................ ………………………………...............

My mission in this life is to train up my children…..to show them who God is……..I have learned by watching my own family members how I live points them to Jesus.

    are you...

I like how these video point the way                       it is clear...black and white....
